Service Delivery Manager

THE ROLE

Technical & Delivery Manager to lead and strengthen our Technical Delivery Team. This role is responsible for end-to-end project delivery across enterprise infrastructure solutions (servers, storage, backup, virtualization) and automation using Red Hat Ansible. You must be hands-on enough to lead field deployments, credible enough to engage customers, and structured enough to run delivery operations (resource planning, quality control, documentation, handover, and project governance). You will also work closely with management to identify new service opportunities and improve how we package and deliver recurring services.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Leadership & Execution

  • Lead technical delivery for enterprise infrastructure projects (servers, storage, virtualization, backup/DR, Ansible automation)
  • Own end-to-end delivery outcomes: timeline, quality, customer satisfaction, and sign-off
  • Enforce delivery discipline: checklists, runbooks, documentation, change control, acceptance criteria, handover
  • Drive efficiency via standardization, templates, and reduced rework

Technical Team Management

  • Lead and manage a team of delivery engineers
  • Coach and develop technical skills and customer-facing professionalism
  • Plan resource allocation aligned to project pipeline and priorities
  • Conduct performance reviews, skills mapping, and certification planning

Customer Engagement & Service Excellence

  • Serve as senior technical contact for key accounts and escalations
  • Lead customer discussions on deployment planning, risk/change management, and troubleshooting
  • Maintain service-oriented approach: balance customer needs with business constraints, manage scope via professional change control

Process Improvement & Business Growth

  • Partner with management to identify new service offerings (OPEX, subscription, managed services)
  • Drive operational improvements to boost delivery efficiency and margin
  • Support pre-sales: technical validation, delivery feasibility, project approach
  • Strengthen recurring services engine: support tiers, SLAs, renewal processes

What We’re Looking For

Preferred / Highly Recommended Certifications

  • Automation: Red Hat / Ansible certifications
  • Hardware Vendors: IBM, HPE, or Lenovo certifications
  • Backup Solutions: Veeam and/or Commvault certifications
  • Project Management: PMP / PRINCE2 or equivalent (optional but advantageous)
